The Akwa Ibom Tech Week Innovation Challenge brings together students, entrepreneurs, innovators, and startups to design and showcase solutions that tackle pressing issues in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria, and beyond.
We’re not just looking for ideas — we’re looking for solutions that can scale, inspire, and create real impact.

The Challenge Tracks
Innovation is at the HEART of the Akwa Ibom Tech Week Innovation Challenge. Teams will compete across five categories, each focused on solving real problems while building scalable solutions:
Healthcare
Develop solutions that improve access to quality healthcare, advance biotechnology, and promote well-being.
Education
Use technology to enhance learning, preserve culture and language, and strengthen tourism opportunities.
Agriculture
Create innovations that boost food security, improve farming practices, and strengthen agri-business.
Renewable Energy
Design sustainable technologies that drive clean energy adoption, climate resilience, and environmental sustainability.
Transportation
Build smarter systems for mobility, logistics, UAVs, and electric-powered solutions to transform movement of people and goods.
How It Works
Every big idea starts small — here’s how we’ll take your solution from concept to spotlight

Step 1: Registration
Form your dream team (2–5 members) and submit your concept note, MVP, or proof of traction via the application form below. Show us what makes your idea powerful.

Step 2: Bootcamp & Workshop
Selected teams will join a 1-day hands-on bootcamp where you’ll sharpen your solution with design thinking, product strategy, and pitch training. Think of it as turning your idea into a winning story.

Step 3: Semi-Finals (Virtual Pitch)
Make your first pitch in front of expert reviewers online. Get feedback and guidance to make your innovation even stronger.

Step 4: Demo Day (Live Pitch)
The spotlight is yours! Finalists pitch to investors, tech leaders, and policymakers during Akwa Ibom Tech Week — with the audience and media watching.

Step 5: Awards & Recognition
The journey ends with winners being announced on the Tech Week Conference Day. Beyond prizes, you’ll gain mentorship, visibility, and the chance to scale your solution.
